Lea Pateman

Lea Pateman is an artist inspired by looking at things differently, whether it's  familiar scenes or people enjoying candid moments in everyday life. 

Inspired by the impressionists, Lea enjoys combining colours with an overlapping mosaics in oils, chalk pastels or watercolours, which she refers to as pixelism. She has also enjoyed working in oils, applying the paint thickly then carving through to the background to disrupt perfectionism with chaos.

Lea has done commissions for the Saudi royal family and had work exhibited at the Mall Gallery in London as well as two solo exhibitions.

Curiosity is a key driver to keep pushing beyond.
